I’m not sure what made me think that working a full time job, writing, editing, and promoting was a good idea. However, now that I’m here doing it – I still don’t think it was a good idea.
With my 16th book on the horizon, I couldn’t have done it without my team constantly hyping me up. And my Alphas? Goodness knows where I’d be without them. There’s so many people to point out and thank and I hope that good karma comes their way tenfold.
As for today, the plan is work, food, and then editing. In that order. Or maybe editing and then food. All I know is that this book (Ryker) is going to be just a tad bit darker than the rest of my current books.
Don’t blame me when one of my beautiful characters decides to get a little down and dirty.
I mean, what do you expect when you put a cannibal, serial killer, beast of a cop, and a journalist with four voices in one room?
Craziness should have been your answer.
Absolute chaos is what that is.
And I’m so excited.
Here’s a little excerpt from Ryker… and it’s a little disturbing. Don’t say I didn’t warn you:
Blood pooled in the corner, beads of crimson seeping through and onto my counter. A tight smile spread across my lips as I continued my assault on the bag, applying different pressures as more liquid gathered on the surface. Unable to help myself, I bent down and ran my tongue through it, relishing the coppery taste that exploded in my mouth. My fingers curled into fists at my sides as I let the demons in my head take over, lapping up what felt like dessert.
