This wonderful project was born from a love for the paranormal, academy romances, and MM relationships. Mashed all together and it brought me to the start of this wonderful series.

It wouldn’t have been here without the help of my Alpha team and their awesome ideas down to the very inspirational pictures that have been sent my way. I’m so excited to have my Alpha team through the process of the next four books following this one to bring you the chaotic world of Skye and his men.

Overwhelmed by Magic is categorized as a dark PNR academy romance, however, the ‘dark’ part covers the entire series and not just the book. While the themes in this current installment might be on the lighter side, they gradually darken throughout the series. The romance itself is not dark. It’s sweet, mostly wholesome, and the men are very protective of their partners aside from a few mishaps.

The ‘dark’ part in this installment refers to the themes surrounding the growing polycule, discussions involved in the book, and avoiding healthy conversations when heavy incidents occur. In future books, the romance becomes darker as the polycule settles and finds its way.

The romance is slow to medium burn with low to high heat moments. There are explicit MM and MMM scenes and one scene with MMMMMM. The scenes, while detailed, are not dark. There are also a few mentions of somnophilia or the act of but it is brief.

Content warnings include: Possessive mates, mild discussions/thoughts around and about parental abuse, violence (inside and outside the polycule), mishandling of mental health, using sex as a crutch or avoidance for mental health, mild kidnapping themes inside the polycule, taboo relationship (counselor + students), human/creature relations, insta-lust, medium to fast-burn relationship once it begins.

One last thing! Some of the terms used in this series you might recognize because they are Latin or Greek words (or you might not recognize them at all because they’re made up).
